Colombia is "one of the world’s biggest and most forgotten humanitarian tragedies"

Referring to the millions of Colombians displaced as a result of decades of internal conflict (which the U.S. has played no small part in perpetuating), the spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees called the Colombian "situation," "not only the largest UNHCR operation in the Americas but also one of the world's biggest and most forgotten humanitarian tragedies."
